Don't ya hate it when....

So Brad and I were gathering treasures (crap) for our yard sale this weekend. I grab this itchy blanket out of the storage room and the rest went down like this:

Brad: Why are you getting rid of that?

Me: Because it's itchy and we don't need it.

Brad: But we bought it at the Dave Mathews concert so we would have something to sit on in the lawn.

Me: (silence) Uhm... no we had pavilion seats.

Brad: (grasping for anything) Then it was Maroon 5!

Me: Nope, we had pavilion seats there too.

Brad: Oh.

It went in the yard sale pile.

twilight

I realize I am about 6 mts late to jump on this band wagon, and that I am not a 15 yr old girl. BUT - Holy Crap this is my new addiction... SO Good! Ladies... don't fight it, just read it!

It is entirely possible that my view point could be off a little considering this is the first book I have read that does not start with "What to expect....". I realize some of my "friends" will laugh at this post and think I have lost my gourd (all possible) I encourage you not to drink the Hateraide till you try it. Happy hunting...

pizza date

We were invited over to Sarah and Tim's last Saturday night for a pizza/outside play date. They could not have ordered better weather for our little guys to romp around the yard. Here is Declan and Parker finally starting to notice each other.

I'm sure if we could understand their baby babble we would hear d saying... "you open it here?" and p would say "but were is the cup holder?"

This photo is one beer shy of being very King of the Hill.

Question

Does anyone else's husband trim back their landscaping while wearing a pink button down and Cole Haan sandals?

Big Boy 15 month dr visit

Parker had his 15 month checkup today and here are the stats:

Weight: 27.12 (a pound lighter than last weigh in)

Height 32 inches (our shorty pants grew 2 inches in 3 months - he jumped from the %50 group to the %75 group. His Daddy will sleep much better now.)

His mouth is healing fine. He does have a place on his gum where his top tooth shows thru (towards the top of his mouth) there isn't much we can do about it at this point but hope the gum regenerates a little and grows back together. It could have been much worse.

Overall our little man is right on target and very healthy!

Easter

For Easter Parker got a new set of wheels. Here he is chillin' like a villain in his cozy coup! Big Hit!

We traveled south to my Sister's house for Easter fun and "linner." My camera battery died right away (sigh) so I don't have a lot of pics.... but here is Parker finding (and re-finding) the same 5 Easter eggs my sister hid for him (in the same place..) he loved it!

My sister and her family are lucky enough to live on a large plot of land... so Parker got to enjoy their trampoline (with his Daddy), swing set, and below a ride around the property with his cousin Zachary on his 4 wheeler. We had a great time and got to try out a pulled pork recipe that my mom has been hiding from us for at least 35 years! Thank goodness for holidays.

I'm just now realizing this jacket makes my son look like a garden gnome.

Big Boy Room

We are starting to look ahead to Parker's big boy room. This dump truck lamp was a great find and our first purchase towards the new room. I have no idea what the rest of the room will look like but I think we are off to a great start!
