summer cookout goodness
This past weekend we hosted 3 other couples and their babies for a cookout. That is 8 adults (more or less), 6 toddlers, and 2 babies. It was a huge success.. and I'm measuring that by the fact that I didn't notice we had a back yard full of kids and mine slept great that night. : )
Brad must be a great cook because all of these kids stayed in one place to eat! I can't help but notice Parker chose to sit by the new love of his life... Ava (so sorry Lila... he is a fickle boy)

Louisville weekend Part II - well really Ohio
On Day two of our road trip we met up with our friends the Fleeners for some King's Island goodness. I was surprised at how much their kid area has grown. Parker and Eli loved the rides and had a great time.
The adults got to sneak off and ride a few coasters as well!

Above.. Parker and his Mommy riding his first roller coaster! So proud of the little guy.

Louisville weekend part I
Last weekend we loaded up the car and headed South to Louisville to visit our friends Andy, Ashley and baby Jack. We are so lucky to have friends that live in such a fun area to visit.
We spent Saturday afternoon at the Louisville zoo where Jack shared his wagon, and the boys were loving them some animals. Kate was a dream baby and perfectly happy to sit in her stroller and people watch. (A girl after my own heart.)

Here is Parker telling me about the "yucky" snakes. But still smiling... he is a boy after all.

Parker finally touching a goat - off his bucket list!

Thanks uncle Andy... for pulling us around all day.

Parker... loving him some Ashley
We were so happy to get to spend time with our Louisville friends.. Parker can't stop talking about being "gentle" around baby jack. He was also a big fan of the mickey mouse pancakes Ashley made him on Sunday morning. (Looks like my bowl of cheerios won't cut it much longer). We are already looking forward to our next visit!Thursday, June 3, 2010
K8 update
Kate has come a long way. After having tubes put in her ears we have noticed a very different baby. She is happy most of the time and is a curious, sassy little girl that wakes up each day smiling. I call her sweetie most of the time because she really is. I'm so lucky to have such a sweet baby girl to squeeze every day. Thanks for all of your prayers to get us thru the hard months. (Those were the hard months right??)Tuesday, June 1, 2010
